PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Ethylene Glycol-Bis-(?-Amino-Ethylether)-N,N,N',N'-Tetraacetic Acid Application Notes Ethylene Glycol-bis-(beta-aminoethylether)-N,N,N',N'-tetraacetic Acid is a chelating agent for determination of calcium in the presence of magnesium; it can also detect cadmium in the presence of zinc. It is also useful for the removal of heavy metal ions in biological systems. It is shown to activate Ca2+- stimulated ATPase in rat liver plasma membranes and induce apoptosis in PC12 cells. It also inhibits the zinc-dependent endopeptidases, matrix metalloproteinases. Usage Statement Unless specified otherwise, MP Biomedical's products are for research or further manufacturing use only, not for direct human use.
