PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
An aminoglycoside antibiotic effective against gram-negative bacteria. Like neomycin, it inhibits protein synthesis by binding to 16s-ribosomal RNA. Useful in studies of cytosine-cytosine (CC) mismatch containing RNAs.
Application Notes
Paromomycin sulfate salt has been used as a reference compound in antileishmanial activity RNA-binding ligand and interacts with aptamer. This interaction prevents the binding (and cutting) of dicer to RNA duplex
