Description

One Step PrimeScript III RT-qPCR Mix, with UNG is a 2X master mix for one-step, probe-based real-time RT-qPCR (5' nuclease method). It combines PrimeScript III RTase, a reverse transcriptase with improved heat tolerance (up to 55°C) and strong resistance to inhibitors such as heparin (blood) and humic acid (soil), with TaKaRa Taq HS, a hot-start PCR enzyme, in an optimized buffer. Reverse transcription and qPCR run in the same tube, which simplifies the protocol and lowers contamination risk. The mix often works with crude RNA extracts, but highly pure RNA is recommended when the target is not detected or more accurate, stable results are needed. This version also includes UNG to help prevent amplification of carry-over contamination.
